A full body treatment is based upon 12 hand positions, starting from the head finishing at the pelvic area. Typically, 8 of the positions are carried out whilst you are lying on your back, then turning over facing downwards, the remaining 4 positions are placed again in sequence along the back. 

A Reiki treatment can also accomodate someone seated in a chair. The 12 hand positions would be very similar, with a slight adjustment to the torso area due to the upright posture.

As each treatment is bespoke, your specific needs will always be discussed during the introduction and respectfully modified to suit.

during and post treatment

Experiences during the treatment does vary, on each occasion. Physical sensations may include muscles twitching, tingling or an immense feeling of body/limb heaviness. Some have noted coolness but more often, heat is felt in localised areas. On an emotional level, tears or a boundless feeling of love can be experienced as the energy releases blockages in the associated chakras. Seeing swathes of colour, scenery or loved ones is also completely natural. Others, more used to the higher vibrations or familiar with deep meditation, often fall asleep during a treatment.  

Post treatment, a deep sense of relaxation, centredness and balance can be felt, many return regularly for the wholistic benefits. I do always encourage afterwards, to drink plenty of water, to help the body flush out toxins that may have been dislodged by the energy during the treatment. Regular Reiki healing is transformative, improves quality of life as well as preserving wellbeing to enhance daily performance.
